A 12-person delegation consisting of national models of self-reliance, retired Paralympic champions and artists with disabilities, arrived at Guangwai Gymnasium in the University Town and watched the fantastic Volleyball (Sitting) events on Tuesday evening. Furthermore, they had the company of more than 20 "Hand in Hand" volunteering families.

Members of the delegation watch a match together with volunteering families.

Volunteers Department of the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC) recruited 100 volunteering families who would accompany the delegation during their trip to watch the Games and tour around the city.

Song Yuhong, a member of the delegation, said, "From the volunteers, we can see that Guangzhou is a city full of love. It will be very happy for people with disabilities to live in this city."

"The smiling face and caring service of volunteers make everyone feel warm," said Jin Jing, a torchbearer of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, "wherever they are, there will be love."

Through this activity, parents of the volunteering family hope that their kids can learn how to care for others, think more of others and know how to treasure and appreciate for what they have. They also hope that the fighting spirit of the disabled will be great inspiration to their children. (The End)
