More than 20,000 tickets of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games were sold
on Thursday (May 20), the first day of global ticket sales for the
sporting event this November.

book tickets and make enquiries at an ICBC ticket outlet in Guangzhou.

Over 200,000 Asian Games tickets, approximately 10 per cent of all
tickets for the Games, went on sale at 10am on May 20, involving 69
matches under 13 disciplines. The tickets are sold on a first come,
first served basis on the official ticketing website (tickets.gz2010.cn)
and 400 ticket outlets of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China
(ICBC) across the country.

A ticket booking form and guide books

By 5pm, May 20, a total of 24,712 tickets had been sold with 56 per
cent booked through the official ticketing website. The tickets
currently available for six matches of four sports – Badminton, Table
Tennis, Golf and Rowing – had been sold out. Meanwhile, the official
ticketing hotline (+8620 1258088) had received 3,289 calls.
